pixeldustfilms > Come on In, The Water's Mine - 3 exposures on a tripod staring out at my Sunday afternoon. Photomatix did the tonemapping (I'm sure you know by now that Photomatix is pretty much my go-to-guy on tonemapping). Tonemapping wrecks color, however, and the white railing and white pearlescent hot tub went to a really dull gray after the tonemap. To fix this, I went into Photoshop (any version will do) and brushed a mask using a "normal" white exposure that I selected from the three.

From there, a little Hue/Saturation on the entire thing to give that hint that I live in Oz and then onto Noise Ninja to self-destruct all the noise that's created in the process described above.

Apple Aperture at the very end to settle the levels and there ya have it :-)
pixeldustfilms > The Strubel Trail, Series in HDR
pixeldustfilms > Someone's goin' Down
pixeldustfilms > The Elders - I love the big trees that oversee the local park. Notice the guy on the cell phone and scale him against that huge tree behind him. Awesome. Shot handheld at 17mm with the sun to my back.
pixeldustfilms > Suburban Sunset - Hung around to watch the sun setting over the water this evening. Dropped down kind of low with my elbows resting on a bridge and made a bunch of great snaps while the sun was saying its goodbye. This one was probably the most telling of the series.
