Come on In, The Water's Mine - 3 exposures on a tripod staring out at my Sunday afternoon. Photomatix did the tonemapping (I'm sure you know by now that Photomatix is pretty much my go-to-guy on tonemapping). Tonemapping wrecks color, however, and the white railing and white pearlescent hot tub went to a really dull gray after the tonemap. To fix this, I went into Photoshop (any version will do) and brushed a mask using a "normal" white exposure that I selected from the three.
From there, a little Hue/Saturation on the entire thing to give that hint that I live in Oz and then onto Noise Ninja to self-destruct all the noise that's created in the process described above.
Apple Aperture at the very end to settle the levels and there ya have it :-)
